When it comes to trade show labor management, most companies will tell you it’s the final piece of the puzzle. But not us. Our expertise in I&D services is called upon at the beginning of an exhibit or event project, not the end. At Lime, your I&D labor needs are being assessed from the moment a design is pitched through its completed fabrication. Our process is unique. We work exclusively with BlueHive Exhibits to provide accurate, up-to-date forecasts for labor talent and timelines for their projects.
Lime provides a streamlined, efficient process for labor I&D management. Instead of a hand-off from the account team, we work hand-in-hand. There’s no need to take extra time to explain designs or build needs to our teams. There is no one on our team who is unfamiliar with a project. And for the client, there are no surprises when it comes to costs, timeline or crew needs.
Our closeness with a project is something that can only be achieved by working from within the exhibit house that is servicing the client, which is exactly what we do. We are unlike any other labor I&D management company. Our services are not for hire directly. We are an extension of BlueHive Exhibits and the turnkey show management services they offer to their clients.
How Does the Lime Process Work?
We provide cost estimates for labor and build execution based off initial renderings, to provide the client with a better understanding of how the design will affect the related labor costs and show setup timeline. Because we work alongside the account service teams at BlueHive, we’re able to adjust our forecasts accordingly with any design changes or structural updates and continue to provide real cost estimates for the client to consider along the way. During the production phases, we continue to work alongside the CAD and fabrication teams, meeting with the shop foreman regularly as his team puts the build plans into action and shares any further changes or updates to the structure as its being built to further ensure our accuracy.
It’s our communication and dedication to details that ensures our united success. Field staff are updated weekly and are debriefed with detailed reports once the final exhibit build has been determined. By the time the structure arrives on the show floor, Lime field supervisors and installers alike are intimately familiar with the designs and build needs. And, our team comes prepared with a ‘gang box’ of extra building components, spare parts and tools not commonly found on the show floor, to expedite installation time and ensure we have a solution prepared for every possible problem as we install and dismantle even the most complex of exhibits.
How Does the Client Benefit?
Apart from the cost savings initiated and a streamlined, quality service, our inclusive approach to labor I&D provides clients with the added benefit of not needing to be on-site for their event until the show opens. With Lime and BlueHive, what was once a wholly client-owned responsibility is now just an option, something that has not gone unnoticed in today’s world of staff shortages and a client’s inability or lack of desire to travel too far in advance of the show dates.
